These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you visit our website, request assistance or reserve private transportation services with Transcana.

Last updated September 29, 2026
01

Accurate booking details

Travelers must provide correct pickup, contact, passenger, luggage and flight information so we can coordinate the service properly.

02

Confirmation matters

A submitted request becomes an active reservation when it is accepted and confirmed through the website, email or another authorized channel.

03

Coordinated with care

We work to provide safe, timely and reliable private transportation while adapting to real travel and operating conditions.

01

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to the website transcana.com, the Transcana reservation system, customer communications and private transportation services provided under the Transcana brand.

By accessing the website, submitting a reservation request, completing payment or using our transportation services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you make a reservation for another traveler or a group, you confirm that you are authorized to provide their information and accept these terms on their behalf.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to make a reservation.

02

Our transportation services

Transcana coordinates private transportation services including airport transfers, hotel and resort transportation, private rides, day trips and group transportation.

The specific route, vehicle category, passenger capacity, luggage allowance, pickup instructions, price and included services are established by the reservation details and confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a transportation reservation does not include accommodation, airline tickets, admission tickets, meals, tour-guide services or other products not specifically identified in the confirmation.

03

Bookings and confirmation

A booking request is subject to vehicle availability, route coverage, operating capacity and acceptance by Transcana.

A reservation is considered confirmed when the customer receives a confirmation through the website, email, WhatsApp or another authorized communication channel.

The customer is responsible for reviewing:

  • Passenger name and contact information.
  • Pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Service date and pickup time.
  • Flight number, airline and arrival information.
  • Number of passengers and amount of luggage.
  • Selected vehicle category and trip direction.
  • Price, currency and chosen payment method.
Please review your confirmation

Contact us as soon as possible if any detail is incorrect. Transcana is not responsible for service problems resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer or booking party.

04

Prices, currency and payments

The applicable price and currency will be displayed during checkout, included in the quotation or communicated before the reservation is confirmed.

Prices are based on the route, selected vehicle category, number of passengers, luggage, service date, operating requirements and any additional services requested.

Available payment options may include full online payment, partial payment, payment links, PayPal, card payment or payment on pickup. The options available for a particular reservation will be shown during checkout or communicated by our team.

  • The customer authorizes the applicable charge when submitting an online payment.
  • Payment processing may be completed by an independent payment provider.
  • Bank, card or currency-conversion charges imposed by another provider are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Any unpaid balance must be settled according to the instructions included in the confirmation.

Additional stops, route changes, extended waiting, excess luggage or a larger vehicle requested after confirmation may result in an adjusted price. Whenever reasonably possible, the customer will be informed before an additional charge is applied.

05

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Customer changes

Requests to change the date, time, route, vehicle, passenger count or other reservation details are subject to availability and may change the price.

A requested modification is not effective until Transcana confirms it through an authorized communication channel.

Cancellations

The cancellation and refund conditions displayed during checkout, stated in the quotation or included in the booking confirmation form part of these Terms and Conditions.

Customers should submit cancellation requests as early as possible by email or WhatsApp and include the booking reference.

Refunds

When a refund is approved, it will generally be returned through the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider, bank or card issuer and are outside Transcana’s direct control.

No-shows

A passenger may be considered a no-show when they do not arrive at the confirmed meeting point, cannot be contacted and do not respond during the applicable waiting period.

A no-show may be non-refundable because the vehicle, driver and operating resources were reserved for the service, subject to the booking conditions and applicable consumer law.

06

Pickup, waiting time and flight information

Customers must be ready at the confirmed pickup location and time. Pickup instructions may vary depending on the airport, hotel, resort, residence, port or other meeting point.

The customer is responsible for providing a reachable telephone or WhatsApp number and checking the pickup instructions before the service.

Airport arrivals

When valid flight information is provided, we may monitor the scheduled arrival and adjust operational coordination when reasonably possible. Flight monitoring does not guarantee that every delay, terminal change or airline update will be received immediately.

Customers must notify Transcana if the flight number, airline, arrival airport or travel itinerary changes.

Waiting time

The included waiting period is the period stated during booking, included in the confirmation or communicated by our team.

Additional waiting may be subject to vehicle availability and an extra charge. If the passenger cannot be located or contacted after the applicable waiting period, the reservation may be treated as a no-show.

07

Vehicles, passengers and luggage

Vehicle categories

Vehicle photographs are representative of the corresponding category. A particular manufacturer, model, year, color or registration is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.

For operational, maintenance, safety or availability reasons, Transcana may provide a comparable vehicle or a vehicle with equal or greater passenger capacity.

Passenger capacity

The number of passengers may not exceed the legal seating capacity of the confirmed vehicle. Infants and children are counted as passengers.

Luggage

Customers must accurately declare the expected number and size of bags. Surfboards, wheelchairs, sports equipment, oversized luggage and other special items must be disclosed before confirmation.

Luggage may be refused when it exceeds the safe or legal carrying capacity of the vehicle. A larger vehicle or additional vehicle may require an additional charge.

Child and booster seats

Child or booster seats must be requested in advance and are subject to availability. An additional charge may apply when disclosed during booking or confirmation.

08

Passenger responsibilities and conduct

Passengers are expected to:

  • Follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the driver.
  • Use seat belts whenever available and required.
  • Supervise children and dependent passengers.
  • Treat drivers, staff, vehicles and other passengers respectfully.
  • Keep personal belongings secure throughout the service.
  • Avoid conduct that could distract the driver or endanger the journey.
  • Comply with applicable laws and transportation regulations.

Smoking, illegal substances, weapons, dangerous materials and unlawful activity are prohibited in our vehicles.

Transcana may refuse or discontinue service when a passenger is violent, abusive, threatening, excessively intoxicated, behaving unlawfully or creating a safety risk. Refund eligibility in such circumstances will be determined according to the situation and applicable law.

The person responsible for the booking may be charged for exceptional cleaning or damage caused by the passenger group, subject to reasonable documentation.

09

Delays and events outside our control

Pickup and travel times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, road closures, weather, accidents, public events, airport operations, airline changes, mechanical issues, government action or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Transcana will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant disruptions and arrange an appropriate operational solution when possible.

We are not responsible for missed flights, cruises, appointments or other connections caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by insufficient travel time selected by the customer.

Allow sufficient travel time

Customers should consider traffic, airport procedures, check-in requirements and seasonal demand when selecting a pickup time.

10

Responsibility and limitations

Transcana will provide services with reasonable care and in accordance with the confirmed reservation, subject to actual operating and travel conditions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Transcana is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including missed opportunities, lost profits or losses arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Customers remain responsible for passports, travel documents, airline requirements, visas, personal belongings and compliance with entry or departure requirements.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, or removes mandatory rights available to consumers under Dominican law.

11

Website and intellectual property

The Transcana name, visual identity, website design, text, photographs, graphics, icons and other original website content are owned by or licensed to Transcana and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Website content may not be copied, republished, sold, modified, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written authorization.

You may use the website only for legitimate travel research, customer support and transportation reservations. Automated abuse, fraudulent reservations, unauthorized access and interference with the website or booking system are prohibited.

12

Third-party services and links

The website may incorporate or link to third-party services, including mapping, payment, messaging, airline, hotel or travel services.

Independently operated services are governed by their own terms, policies and availability. Transcana is not responsible for the content, security or operation of an external website that it does not control.

13

Privacy and personal information

Personal information submitted through the website or reservation process is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Customers making reservations for other passengers must have permission to provide the information necessary to coordinate the transportation service.

14

Governing law and disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, including applicable consumer-protection, electronic-commerce and data-protection requirements.

Before initiating formal proceedings, customers are encouraged to contact Transcana so both parties can attempt to resolve the matter directly and in good faith.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to the competent authorities or courts of the Dominican Republic, without limiting any mandatory consumer right or remedy provided by applicable law.

15

Changes to these terms

Transcana may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in services, technology, operating practices or legal requirements.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. The terms in effect when a reservation was confirmed will generally govern that reservation, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

BOOKING QUESTIONS

Let’s make it clear.
